To ensure a continuous supply of electrical power, essential systems are connected to two sources. A normal source and a replacement source. The replacement is used when the normal source is unavailable.
This system was designed for an automatic changeover from 2 supply sources (480VAC/3 PH/ 60Hz) on board the oil rig.
